University International Strategy*
7.7 The University develops international cooperation, concludes cooperation agreements, establishes direct relations with the higher education institution, foreign research institutions, and enterprises, international organizations, foundations, etc., respectively to the Ukrainian law.
7.8 The main directions and components of the system of international cooperation:
1) Taking part in bilateral and multilateral exchange programs between countries and
universities for students, pedagogical and scientific workers.
2) Organizing joint scientific research.
3) Engaging educational, scientific, pedagogical and scientific workers of foreign higher
education institutions to participate in educational, scientific, educational and scientific
activities at the university.
4) Organizing international conferences, congresses, and other events.
5) Participating in international educational and scientific programs.
6) Conducting joint research, publishing activity.
7) Providing services for allowing getting higher education and scientific degrees by foreign
Citizens in Ukraine.
8) Organizing official visits abroad for academic and non-academic staff, in accordance with international agreements, as well as agreements concluded between the University and foreign partners.
9) Realization of foreign economic activity, provided by the Law of Ukraine.
10) Information support of international cooperation.
11) Creating optimal conditions for academic mobility for teachers and students.
12) Other areas and forms not prohibited by the legislation of Ukraine.
7.9 Organizing international activity of the University, directed at the connection the best achievements of the national high school with progressive foreign experience.

Historically National Pedagogical Dragomanov University first appeared as Special Pedagogical Institute of St.Volodymyr Kyiv University in November 21, 1834 (December 4th, according to new style);
In 1920 the premises, pedagogical and professorial staff, libraries and teaching traditions of St.Volodymyr Kyiv University, Kyiv Teacher Institute, Kyiv Higher courses for women, Frebbel Preschool Preparation Institute and other institutions were inherited by Dragomanov Kyiv Institute of People’s Education, named after famous Ukrainian political theorist, economist, historian, philosopher, ethnographer and public figure, hence the establishment is considered the direct heir of Pedagogical Institute of St. Volodymyr University. In 1933 it was transformed into Gorky Kyiv Pedagogical Institute. In 1991, when Ukraine gains independence, the university becomes Kyiv State Pedagogical University, shortly before it is given the statuts of the National University and named after Mykhailo Dragomanov once again.

Project description: The aim is to improve the quality of pedagogical education in Ukraine, Norway, and Palestine through the development of a democratic culture in teaching. Project description: The aim of the project is to make a major step-change in developing novel effective tools for studying complex systems based on stochastic geometry and stochastic evolution methods, on appropriate methods of analysis and combinatorics, as well as on numerical methods and computer simulations. The network we are going to create will unite efforts of leading specialists in this area towards scientific excellence, will establish new and strengthen existing long-term collaboration links between them, and will train a new generation of young researchers in this multidisciplinary area.

Project description: The aim of this project is the qualification of pedagogues and education managers in a consecutive higher and further education system, for the constructive handling of diversity in educational institutions and organisations. Target Groups in education are BA and MA students in such subjects as teaching, pedagogy and social pedagogy as well as PhD students. In further education they are teachers, education managers, agency representatives (commune, town, social security, migration services etc.). Beneficiaries of these measures are children and adolescents with special needs, their parents, University, heterogeneous organisations/ corporations, social agencies and migrant services, communal agencies.
